Franklite's brass enhances the past
A collection of light fittings from Franklite Creative Lighting has been installed to illuminate the Georgian House Hotel, part of the Hollybourne Hotels Group. Franklite’s extensive range was chosen to meet and enhance a multitude of aesthetic and functional lighting schemes throughout the hotel.
To accompany the classic interiors of the hotel a range of traditional brass and glass fittings were installed. Two 12 light Holbein chandeliers from Franklite’s Flemish collection were chosen to establish an elegant centrepiece within the Savannah Function Suite. A polished brass fitting featuring arms with a re-curved scroll and cast double leaf break, the Holbein was combined with brass recessed light fittings to create an opulent but practical lighting effect for the multi-purpose facility.
Tradition was further reflected in the use of Franklite’s Consort suite, a range of convex polished brass lanterns positioned in the main reception and staircase area. Elsewhere in the hotel, simplicity and comfort were echoed with a combination of brass swivel arm wall lights and flush ceiling fittings for the hotel bedrooms.
As a contemporary contrast, Franklite’s designer ironcraft range Marostica was used to establish a fresh interior for the restaraunt area. Marostica’s double and single wall fittings and standard floor lamps were used as part of a scheme that also included recessed chrome downlighters to achieve a varied ambiance conducive to dining requirements.
Exterior lighting for aesthetic and security reasons was also a consideration during the lighting specification. Franklite’s Boulevard collection, die-cast aluminium wall lanterns were in keeping with the traditional ambiance of the hotel and were positioned to illuminate the garden and patio areas.
